More About the Surgeons of Fort Worth Plastic Surgery
Robert G. Anderson, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Following medical school, Dr. Anderson completed residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology as well as fellowship training in otology, neurotology and skull base surgery. He spent more than five years as a full-time faculty member at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and has authored a number of scientific articles and book chapters. Dr. Anderson has been a member of the editorial board of Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery since 1987. He has devoted a great deal of his time to volunteer efforts with various medical missionary programs in the Fijian Islands and, more recently, in Mexico and Central America.
Dr. Anderson is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies, including the two most prominent plastic surgery societies: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
James Martin English, MD, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He served a general surgery internship and residency at the Parkland Memorial Hospital (UTSWMC) in Dallas, where he received the Outstanding Senior Resident Award. Dr. English continued his studies at the Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he completed a two-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He then served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine and several other prestigious medical programs throughout Texas, including the Glen Rose Medical Center. Dr. English has written numerous articles on topic involving plastic and reconstructive surgery, and he is affiliated with many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society. He is a former President of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons of Dallas.
