Armina's Full Anchor Lift With B/A & Nipple/Areola
I am 42 years old, 5' 6 1/2", 122 pounds, very large big boned frame. I can carry up to 140 pounds I still wear a size 7/8 I have 2 children that I breast fed. I was one of the women who thought getting a b/a was a silly self indulgent idea.. Boy did I change my tune fast...

Before the 2 kids my average 34 b/c's were ok but not perky.. During pregnancy they were a nice 34 d with a sag but I got used to the size. During breastfeeding they ballooned out to ii... |

Anyway after the 2 kids they not only got smaller but they became very droopy... Also I lost more weight and their size went down to a 34a/b. That was it... I wanted to have the second half on my life with a body I was happy and comfortable with not something I was always hiding or propping up.
I chose my PS because of a single personal referral.. I did not have any other consultations... I know this was probably not the best way to do it but I got lucky and had a truly gifted man work on me. When I met him at my first appointment I was hoping he would tell me that I could have a less evasive, scarless procedure. After examining me he told me that my ptosis (grade of droopiness) was a 2-3 (3 being the worst) but that was not as bad as the fact that I simply had too much extra skin. If I simply did a BA or an internal lift without removing skin my breasts would be saggy again in no time... Well I did not want that to happen... I did not like the idea of a vertical scar but I did a great deal of research on scar removal systems and found a couple wonderful products.. Both Rrejuveness and BioDermis gel sheeting were the two i was most impressed with. I experimented with Rejuveness on a 10 month old c-section scar and had wonderful results.
Anyway my ps and I agreed to a full anchor lift. I also wanted a nipple and areola reduction since they had gotten so large. I wanted a 34d. We went with a McGhan 360 filled to 390cc.
I wanted to back out a number of times because I was scared about going under a general anesthesia and never coming out again.... But I made it to my pre op on 02/21/02. I had 38 prepared questions for my ps. He kindly answered all my questions and reassured me every step of the way.
Prior to the big day I had setup 16 hour a day child care for my 2 kids (10 months and 33 months) for 10 days so that I could get all the rest that I needed, while making sure my husband did not get overwhelmed with all the things that needed to be done on a daily basis. All shopping was done for 2 weeks. Food/Meals had been frozen. House had been cleaned. All items needed for my recovery were purchased and stocked.
My surgery day was 02/27/02. When I arrived at the hospital I was so worried I might chicken out... but as it happened I became very calm and relaxed while I waited. My ps arrived and he marked me up so that he could see how he wanted to put me together. They wheeled me into the surgery room and my anesthesiologist said he was going to start the drip on the iv and their might be a slight burning sensation.. I remember looking at the clock, it said 9:35 am and I thought to myself that I thought we were gonna start at 9:30 and that I was pretty close on my guess... then the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room.... I was thrashing around, pulled out my iv, and waved my arms. Not a model patient. Things got better from there... they gave me morphine which made me sick so I asked for Vicodin. i went to the bathroom on my own that night. I was determined to up and around as quickly as possible. My chest felt heavy but not nearly as bad as I thought.
I stayed the first night in the hospital.. my ps came to visit the next morning and removed my ace bandage and put a support garment on me. I started taking my bromelain and arnica for swelling. my husband picked me up that afternoon and I rested in bed the rest of the day. My recovery has been remarkable. I had full range of motion with 36 hours. I was lifting light objects within 48 hours. At 2 weeks post op I am lifting and carrying both my 11 month old and 34 month old children (22#'s and 31#'s) If it begins to hurt I just stop.. My husband/support system has been incredible.

At my one week post op my ps told me that after he put in the implants my nipple/areola got even bigger. He ended up reducing them by 50%... I loved them as soon as I saw them, small and perky on my nice round new hooters. |

My body swelling disappeared after 8 days. I think that I am quite lucky that my recovery has gone so well. I have been massaging my breasts and they are dropping into the pocket and looking better with each day. I went out on day 13 and purchased some sexy little tops to wear around the house, braless... I love having perky and larger breasts.

I am so happy I made the decision to have this procedure. I have even more confidence then I had before. I feel younger and more youthful.... I do not know if I would have followed through with the procedure had it not been for the wonderful girls on the message board who gave so much of their time and kind thoughts..... Marianne has truly put together a wonderful forum for everyone to benefit from.
