Our Mission Statement (And A Little History)
First and foremost, I designed this website with real patients in mind. I did not start this website with the intention of a profit or gain in any way. I had originally started YesThey'reFake.net (YTF) to be a patient resource that would candidly help others educate themselves about their options in plastic surgery. The site was a collection of various procedure journals and information resources I had put together based on my personal experiences.
YTF had an in-your-face, "I'm not ashamed of having breast implants" attitude that did not sit well with some. So, I started Breast Implants4You.com for those who preferred a more reserved environment. However, my outgoing personality and openness would not be stifled. Ah well, a leopard cannot change her spots!
It also rings true for our fellow forum members (A.K.A. the YTF girls): We're fun, we're helpful, we're very giving, and we're here to stay. It taught me a great lesson, always be who you are. But the truth of the matter is, we're here when you need us. We're genuinely concerned for your wellbeing and we hope we're able to help you through your experience without making you feel as though your head is spinning from all the info.
But you need all that information! Being informed is the only way you can truly give informed consent to a surgeon to surgically manipulate your body. Breast augmentation is not a one-size-fits-all type of surgery. Results can vary with implant choice, placement, and the surgeon's technique. There are many options and variables and for you to get the best possible result, you should learn about the various choices and methods available.
Physical and mental preparation is also very important. Preparing your recovery area can make the difference between a harried and uncomfortable recuperation and a comfortable and serene one. If your body and mind are prepared, your body is able to give its best to heal as fast and effectively as possible. Knowing what to expect can help. That's what we're here for.
The bottom line is that if something doesn't work, is not worth your time, or is dangerous, we'll let you know. This website will always be community built, maintained, and run by real patients, for real patients. Just remember that it is YOU who makes this community what it is and we will always value your opinion!
As of July 10th, NewImage.com has entered into a strategic alliance with elitemakeovercenters.com. Elitemakeovercenters.com's mission is to provide consumers with access to information and savings on elective cosmetic procedures.
